By: Gardner Fox, John Broome, Bob Kanigher Publisher: DC Comics August 01, 2002
All Star Comics (the golden age run) has two periods: the World War II Period and Post World War II period.
During World War II the super heros had a common enemy after World War II things began to drift. With their patriotic duty done and the television on its way the comic heros faced a decline. But before All Star Comics dumped its heros for western fare their came one shining light... more

By: John Broome, Gardner Fox Publisher: DC Comics July 01, 2002
With stories by Gardner Fox and John Broome, _Green Lantern Archives: Volume 4_ collects the Green Lantern stories from _Green Lantern_ (2nd Series) Nos. 22 (July 1963) - 29 (June 1964). An entertaining read, this is the first DC Archive Edition that I have read featuring Hal Jordan as Green Lantern, so I cannot address the specific concerns of other reviewers. However, despite any critiques, these... more

First let me offer this disclaimer: I am not an objective reviewer but I will do my best to make my review as objective as possible. I only write reviews for things I'm inclined to like because if I hate it chances are I don't finish reading it and therefore can't write a review.

By: John Broome Publisher: DC Comics April 01, 2000
If you're a fan of The Scarlet Speedster, THE FLASH (especially the Silver Age version, Barry Allen), this volume of DC's ARCHIVE EDITIONS is a must-have. The second in the series brings not only Flash's adventures but those of his pals ELONGATED MAN and KID FLASH (Wally West).
Barry & Iris seem to have evolved a bit from their first adventures and impatient Iris is at least a little... more

|
By: Gardner Fox, John Broome, Mike Friedrich Publisher: DC Comics March 07, 2007
The team up stories are great fun. I am a big DC Multiverse fan and enjoy these compilations quite a bit. This volume starts off a little slow with the Brave and the Bold team up of Starman, Black Canary and Wildcat. The worst story of the bunch is surprisingly a Green Lantern story by John Broome. However, Gardner Fox does not disappoint with the Atom and Flash stories. Take these stories for what... more
