|
By: Dan Abnett Publisher: Games Workshop November 30, 2004
The art works were hard to read and the contents were repetive. There's no point of reading this when the servitor kept repeating what's he was saying. "I am the God Machine." "I fear nothing." "Fire." 'the end' and so on... Don't buy this book unlast you are soooo deseparate to about warhammer 40k's art work. Save up your money to buy warhammer 40k instead... more

|
By: Dan Abnett, Ian Edginton Publisher: BOOM! Studios July 15, 2007
I am a big fan of the Warhammer 40,000 novels and especially of author Dan Abnett. However, I've alwasy considered myself to have outgrown graphic novels. This book, however, has made me a believer again. Awesome story! Great Graphics! Good Length! I'm a graphic novel guy again!... more

| 5. Imperial Gothic: The Collected Warhammer 40000 comics of Dan Abnett |
|
By: Dan Abnett Publisher: Games Workshop March 28, 2006
This is a collection of two Dan Abnett comic stories set in the WH40K universe. "Lone Wolves" tells the story of an Imperial Guard unit's survival on a planet infested with Tyranids, with a lot of help from the Space Wolves. "Inquisitor Ascendant" reminds people that instincts aren't always the safest or most reliable gauge of a person. Abnett's writing is crisp, to the point, and power packed. I found... more

| 7. Nova Volume 1 HC (v. 1) |
|
By: Dan Abnett, Andy Lanning Publisher: Marvel Comics January 07, 2009
This volume contains the start of the current ongoing nova series and as a fair warning this volume is a little bit continuity heavy. The first three issues deal with the fall out from two major marvel events Annihilation and Civil War and the 10 remaining issues are tied into another event Annihilation: Conquest. While these other stories certainly enrich the experience they are not necessary to... more

| 8. War of Kings |
|
By: Dan Abnett, Andy Lanning Publisher: Marvel Comics June 09, 2010
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It contains the majority of what you need to know. There are moments in the book when Nova & the Guardians appear that seem odd without having read their respective books but that does not take away from the overall story.
The first third of the book contains the main series along with the Secret Invasion prelude. The art & writing throughout... more

| 9. Darkblade: Born of Blood |
|
By: Dan Abnett Publisher: Games Workshop May 01, 2002
I just read Daemon's Curse and I am hooked! Like Michael Corleone in The Godfather, I'm having a little sympathy for Malus (ok, not very much at all right now, but can you see what I mean?). I can't ever remember reading about a main character who is totally and completely evil. I think it's a fascinating perspective on the author's part. Also, I am intrigued to find out how Malus became this way... more
