This fourth in the series of "Official Companion" books is well worth the modest investment. It provides a synopsis of each Season 4 episode followed by behind the scenes information of the episodes... more

| 2. Battlestar Galactica and Philosophy: Knowledge Here Begins Out There (The Blackwell Philosophy and Pop Culture Series) |
|
From: Wiley-Blackwell Publisher: Wiley-Blackwell January 29, 2008
This book will be pretty much meaningless if you are not a fan of the show. It explores the philosophical ideas raised by the show, such as what it means to be human, gender roles, Darwinian survival, religion, etc. This is largely what kept me in the show originally, was the bigger issues raised by the show and how the characters responded to them.
There is a whole line of these books... more

| 3. Battlestar Galactica: The Official Companion Season Three |
|
By: David Bassom Publisher: Titan Books September 18, 2007
This Companion book for Season Three is an excellent resource for much information on BSG, Season Three. If you have a short memory, this quality paperback will bring back all the enjoyment of the video series as well as reveal some things that you might have missed during your original viewing. I use this and other BSG Companion books to go back and watch several of the more complicated episodes... more

| 4. Battlestar Galactica |
|
By: Jeffrey A. Carver Publisher: Tor Science Fiction June 27, 2006
The book was exactly what I thought it was going to be. However, the actor reading it constantly mispronouces names and the shorthand of the military speak. As Capt. Apollo once said, "C-A-G, That pornounced CAG." Everytime the reader spells it out or calls Sharon Valerii and pronouces it as "Valerie" I cringe. ... more

|
By: David Bassom Publisher: Titan Books April 28, 2009
I hate when publishers do things like this! I already have volumes 1-3 and the 4th is on order. I am glad I read that this book is mainly volumes 1 & 2. I love BSG but I do not feel any need to throw my money away on an item like this... more

I bought the 2009 calendar and was really great (the one with the last supper)! The 2010 is missing something. I don't know, maybe it's the white background (it seems like they hadn't enough colour in the printing process), or the photos (not the best ones). I love the show, so it's a pleasure to remember it on my wall, but I was a little bit disappointed by this calendar. ... more

| 8. Battlestar Galactica: The Official Companion |
|
By: David Bassom Publisher: Titan Books June 01, 2005
I am a recent BSG devotee. Because I have watched the seasons out of order, I read all three season companions this past weekend, hoping to find some answers.
However, these companions are full of accolades for every director/actor/writer. Everyone is brilliant!! Can you believe that?
They do describe alternative writing scenarios - this episode was split into... more
