COMICS 101 for 06/01/2006
Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination Premiere
This Friday, June 2nd I'll be appearing as a special guest, along with my pal and Star Wars sketch card artist Justin Chung, for Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination at COSI in Columbus, Ohio. Tickets are $40 and are still available for the midnight premiere party!
Jeremy Bulloch, Boba Fett himself, will be appearing as well along with the 501st, Rebel Legion and my pals from the OSWCC. There will be appetizers, drinks, music, the film Fighter Pilot on the 7-story Extreme Screen Theater, an exclusive meet-and-greet with exhibit designer Ed Rodley and of course the amazing and interactive exhibit itself.
Along with my pal Brian Miller, I've created brand new, full color artwork featuring R2-D2 as a limited edition print only available to VIP guests attending the exhibit. You can view the final print artwork tonight in this Star Wars.com update covering the new exhibit right here.
Also, on June 24th I'll be teaching a "Learn to Draw Star Wars Characters" workshop for kids. Here's the press release from the museum -
What: NEW! Learn to Draw Star Wars Characters Workshop
Wish you could draw Star Wars characters like you see in the movies? Learn cartoon and drawing basics from Joe Corroney, a professional illustrator who's created official Star Wars artwork.
When: Saturday, June 24, 11am-12pm OR 12:30-1:30pm
Cost: $5 per child. Recommended for ages 6-12.

I'll be appearing with my Star Wars art throughout the exhibit's run from June 3rd to September 4th so keep your eyes peeled on my appearance schedule on my official site.
